Rene Marie Russo (born Rene Marie Russo) is an American film actress, former supermodel and filmmaker. Alongside her stunning appearance, her steady success in the competitive film industry can be attributed to her talents as an actor. In the late 1970s the model began her career, and soon became one of the leading figures in this industry. After studying acting Russo embarked on a modeling career working in Los Angeles. In 1987, Russo was the lead character Eden Kendell on ABC's show Sable. Her debut film, Major League was released two years later. Russo was Tom Berengers 'love interest. She was initially doubtful about her talent as an actor but the critics became convinced by her consistent performance. She was praised for her role of Wolfgang Petersen's Outbreak, where she competed with Dustin Hoffman and Morgan Freeman. However, according to her own statements, she was never passionate about the role. The actress took a self-imposed vacation in 2005. For the film Thor, she returned to her acting. Also, she was in her husband's Oscar Award-winning movie Nightcrawler. Later, she would play in light-hearted comedies including The Intern and Just Getting Started.

Rose Namajunas has been one among the most prominent UFC female athletes. She started her career as an amateur fighter, participating in regional competitions before registering to Invicta Fighting Championships and later signing up with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The success she has achieved both inside and outside in the Octagon has made her an international brand after she joined the UFC. Namajunas was born on June 29th 1993 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to a Lithuanian immigrant family. As a child, Rose was involved in athletics like basketball as well as kickboxing. Invicta Fighting Championships signed her at age 18 and she was able to win 2 fights via submission. Dana White took notice of this, and she was admitted to the UFC's strawweight class in the month of December, 2014 when Rose was only 22. Rose has had highs and her lows as well throughout her career, yet she has always come out on top. In April, 2015 Rose fought Carla Esparza for the inaugural Women s Strawweight Championship at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale which she took by a technical knockout less than 3 minutes in Round One - becoming not only winner of the title, but being named Fighter Of The Night along and making history in MMA as this fight marked for the first time in history that female fighter competed for a championship title with a major promoter around the world . In the aftermath of this win Namajunas went onto have several other victories in which she defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk twice which earned her Performance Of The Night honors from UFC in the wake of these wins .
